Starline Brass - rocknrod - 03-03-2024 Just received 500 rounds of starline brass. Was 6 weeks from when I started watching before I could back order. Another 5 weeks to receive it. Now have the dies and all the components. Still need a rifle, waiting on a Savage 110 switchback from Sportsmans. RE: Starline Brass - SpeyRod - 03-03-2024 It’s worth the wait. Take the time now to measure neck tension and do any brass prep. FWIW, I bought the forester sizing die, neck iron and tension testing pin. Turns out the sizing die perfectly set the tension to my desired spec. RE: Starline Brass - Cwlongshot - 03-04-2024 I agree and love Forster dies. I also suggest ya take this time ta prep the brass. Most of the work is a one time thing and you have the time now. I was able ta grab a bag of 50 @ Midway then another 100 Midsouth or Natchez couple weeks later. I also made some from 7.62x39 brass and fire formed yesterday. They where very snug in my chamber, I made about 25/30 of three differrent head stamps. Win, PMC and Federal. I didnt shoot the Winchesters yet but all Fed and PMC formed nicely with start loads. Last nite I deprimed all and washed then annealed and put in dryer. Good luck! CW Here is two videos I posted on the forming process. https://youtu.be/tr3oCHO2lYA?si=hvqpMljItw0JVCEk https://youtu.be/PTeuyadYrqk?si=bTdJ0Of2SX1AFV79 |
