Sierra MatchKing 107gr HPBT? - cb4017 - 11-28-2020

Morning Gents,
My Ballistic Advantage 20" barrel has been shipped.  Hornady Dies and brass are backordered.  I found 3 pounds of LeverEvolution at my LGS.  I grabbed them.  I also find some Sierra MatchKing bullets in stock at Midway and ordered a hundred.

Anyone try these bullets yet and how did they work out?

Thanks!

Don't recall seeing anyone using these, I have thought about it. I have some.
What loads were you thinking of starting out with?

Not sure on the loads yet.
I have several powders on the shelf that seem to be appropriate for this caliber. I'd like to find some factory ammo to get a baseline on velocity and accuracy so I have an idea of what to expect with this barrel.

Any suggestions are gratefully accepted.

In my 24" bolt gun 6PPC I have some data that may be of use, see post #11 and #12 https://6mmarc.com/showthread.php?tid=30&pid=1073#pid1073

If I were starting out on these 107’s I would look to the hornady gas gun data for the 108 eldm, and either 2520 or leverevolution. Use a chrono and do a couple ladders, with 0.3 gr charge load steps, start low.
2520 and lever seem the best to me for my 103 eldx and I would expect the same for 105 hpbt or 108. The SMK would be in that group too I would think.

This is pretty much my plan.  The 107s were the only seemingly appropriate bullet for the 6 ARC I could find in stock at Midway.

Thank You
