Comparing Hornady 105gn Aero - national86 - 11-19-2024
I just received my new Hornady Aero Match bullets, so if anyone interested in the comparison between the Sierra and Berger. I will do some testing this weekend and see how they do. I know Hornady claims we can use the same data, but what about seating depth. I'm going to try the same depth (CBTO) that I use with the 105 Bergers and 107 Sierra.

The info on Hornady's website does make you scratch your head. Same load data, die setting and ballistic information?? My guess is the 105s are a copy of Berger 105 Hybrids judging by what is suggested in their video. Same BC too.

The Hornady hpbt data is limited by the ogive being so, what, tangent... meaning deeper seating depths than other sleeker 105's.
