RE: n540 powder in stock - Thelaststraw - 11-20-2021 I would imagine N540 gives similar performance to LVR if it has similar fill characteristics. I've heard the N5xx powders are a little temp sensitive and faster than the regular Nxxx ones, but I think it may be overstated since it's mostly F class guys using them. I will say that after using N140, it's the cleanest powder I have used in anything pistol or rifle. If I needed more powder I would have been the lab rat for sure. Have you had any problems with case capacity with N140? I thought the premise behind the N5x0 series was higher density.... RE: n540 powder in stock - Thelaststraw - 11-21-2021 I loaded up to 29.6gr with a very slight crunch. I can't remember off the top of my head but I posted the results in the thread that I was originally asking about N140 in. I believe you are correct about the N5xx vs Nxxx and densities. Not sure what other differences there are, it's tricky to read through info from BR and F class guys. |
