Outer Edge Projectile 65gr BBT Reloader 10X - Bill - 01-29-2022 Just getting back into work after some time off when I thought Id give the Howa Mini ARC some range time, my local shop is a bit thin on projectiles but they do stock a locally made CNC Copper projectile. They offer a Hunting bullet which includes a Ball bear tip which improves the BC by a further 8-15%. The projectiles have a well placed pressure reducing groove and come with a coatin to aid speed. Ive used there 107gr in my old 6.5 grendel but the projectile was a touch to long and robbed the case of capacity, accuracy was good but speeds were down I do have CFE223 and leverevolution on hand but Im out of 8208 so Reloader 10x got the nod, its a powder Ive used with good accuracy with the Berger 64gr Column projectiles so I loaded up 30 rounds with 6 diff weight and I'm off to the range tmw for testing. https://outeredgeprojectiles.com.au/product-category/bullets/hunting-bullets/243-hunting/#open RE: Outer Edge Projectile 65gr BBT Reloader 10X - Lemonaid - 02-01-2022 I hope they shoot great for you but they are way out of my price range! Please post pics of your range results. RE: Outer Edge Projectile 65gr BBT Reloader 10X - BluntForceTrauma - 02-01-2022 Thanks, Bill, for the link. I will say that I enjoyed reading the proprietor's rationale for his copper bullets in his FAQ section. While his marketing enthusiasm is evident, I could hardly disagree on technical grounds with the points he made. I'd like to know whether his price list is in US or Australian dollars and are there any import restrictions? I've never bought bullets from overseas. Hey Lemonaid had some interesting range results, I have had 2 back to back range session including 1 yesterday where Temps hit 104 F inside the range, needless to say speeds were up about 80fp faster and I had to stop due to primers starting to flow down the firing pin. I also hit some Velocities yesterday well above Hornadys published Bolt gun data LOL Ill post up a full report shortly with pics Bluntforcetrauma prices are in Aussie $$$ |
