Lead Free Ammunition Maker? - SBRSarge - 08-05-2022
I’m wanting some solid copper, loaded ammo for some hog hunting in October.
I’m on the notify list for Copper Creek, and am watching Druid Hill and Maker Bullets to see if they come out with one.
Anyone have any ideas?
I’m open to a custom loader if they have some options.

Suppose You are looking for this solid copper ammo in 6mm ARC ? If so I am not aware of any offerings yet.
6.8 SPC 300 BLK for example no problem. To be honest I was expecting to see a Hornady CX 6mm ARC offering soon though we are still waiting. Sorry to say, seems you may do well to consider another barrel for another caliber for the time being.

With custom in mind I expect there is something out there though avaibliity may still be a struggle. Did a little searching & you could reach out to these guys.
Suppose you may check with a local gun shop. I am aware of folks locally in the past who would reload ammo for guys on a face to face basis.

Yup, want it in 6ARC.
I was expecting a CX load too. My preference would be for a Barnes TTSX or LRX. Copper Creek loads these and I did the notify me on all of them, but there’s no telling how long the wait will be.
I keep searching for a boutique ammo loader but am striking out.
In the end, I can either use the -X in my ARC or take my 300blk with the Barnes loads. It is a moa gun, so hogs will die!

Thanks bass, custom ordered ammo may be myonly way to get solid copper ARC for a while.
