Morning Everyone, Just curious as to what length your are trimming your brass to after the fire forming, getting you chamber and set you shoulder back(I set my shoulder back .002" (+-.0005"). Do you go by the SAAMI Brass spec of 1.490" (-.020.. up to .020" less) or do you go by the actual chamber space which allows up to 1.5" and drop it back from there?

When I trim I try for somewhere close to min as a rule. So for 6Arc I'm set at 1.483.
I have multiple barrels which I keep close to each other in spec (I had a couple grendel barrels that stretched way too much so I got rid of them) so I size down 0.005. That covers me for all of them.
You don't want to go out to the 1.500 b/c you need to allow the case to expand out during the firing a bit, then shrink back.

Geez. Exactly what my current set of reloads are set at. 1.483".
I only have the one barrel, so I can actually let it lengthen a bit after the shoulder set back. Next set, after fire forming and set back, going to test the exact loads and see if there is any difference due to a longer neck which should provide slightly more neck tension. Who knows??
