Berger 105 VLD T and Boat Tail Target
#1
I just bought a couple of boxes of Berger 105 VLD Target and 105 Boat Tail Target. It looks like the dimensions are great with the Boat Tail and perfect with the VLD in my barrel. The VLD's seem like they were made for the 6 ARC.

Measurements with Hornady modified case to the lands
105 VLD Target CBTO 1.690" OAL 2.269"
105 Boat Tail Target CBTO 1.720" OAL 2.239"

The boat tail is the only part below the shoulder and neck junction for the most part with either bullet. I can't wait to load a few of these up and try them. Hopefully my barrel likes them.

I've have very good results with VLDs in my ARC and in my .223/5.56. They were pretty easy for me in a CLE chambered barrel....mag length in ASCs was 20k jump with breathing room. I load at 30k jump and get pretty much the same results with a little reliability room for chambering since I shoot suppressed always.

Drops were pretty much right on with JBM until I got to 8-900 yards and the 105s started to drop like rocks compared to the 95s. I wasn't pushing them very hard though with the H4895, about 2700 in a 24". Very accurate though and consistent. They did make their way out to 1260 on 33% IPSC steel pretty easily, after that they were a little tough to spot.

Awesome! I have a CLE barrel also, 22" using a Duramag.

Don't get me wrong about the 105s....they perform and very easily sub moa. I didn't do any seating depth testing really. Mag length with an OCW ladder, then backed off 10k to the 30k jump and results stayed the same with H4865, 8-10 SD ,low teen ES and run just shy of 2700 (24" +2 gas). Results are similar with VV N140, just a little faster.
