Varmint loads. Anyone shooting 55gr Nosler or 58gr Vmax?

Just put my first 6arc upper together. It is a 1 in 7 twist, 20" barrel from Rexus Outfitters.

Been a long time shooter of the 6.5 Grendel and felt like it was time to try the 6arc. My intended usage is primarily a varmint gun. In my neck of the woods here in Texas, we are infested with Coyote's.

I have various 6mm projectiles to use, however, I am leaning towards the Nosler 55gr ballistic tip or even their 55gr Varmageddon or possibly the Hornady 58 gr V-max.

I do have a small supply of the 55gr BT's on hand and did shoot a one shot ladder using 8208 from 29.8 to 31 grains in .3 increments out to 100 yards to see if they would shoot. It turned out to be a .75" group over 5 different charges so it showed a lot of promise.  Next time out I will try to chrono them to see how fast they moving.

Other projectiles I have on hand are 70gr TNT, 70gr Sierra HPBT (1505) several different 80gr spitzer's, and 100gr Sierra SBT on hand. Just thought the lighter grain projectile would be best for varmints.

Wondering if anyone else has tried some of these 6mm lighter projectiles and if you have, please share your details.

75gr is the lightest that I have tried. 75gr VMax are super accurate from my Howa and 20” Faxon over 28gr Benchmark.

My rifle is the Howa mini, so a bolt gun, and I have the 20" barrel.
I've shot the 70TNT bullets with good results. Also had good results with the Speer 75 HP. Both of these are very inexpensive bullets, and both grouped under MOA for five shot groups for me. Nothing I've loaded has been a max load, so very doable in the gas gun too.

I easily push the 58 gr. VMax to 3200 fps out of my 20 inch barrel (gas gun). Fine accuracy. If you don't need penetration this is the bullet for you. 4 raccoons no exits but very dead coons.

I did consider the 58 V-max, but I had 60 55gr Nosler BT's on hand and decided to try them and they did so well, I didn't feel like I needed to pursue anything else. These will be used as a coyote round and based on a ballistic calculator, they appear to be very flat shooting. I'll need to very the trajectory to know how flat. I have 200 of the Noslers on the way now and I believe they will work very well on thin skinned varmints. Can't go wrong either way....

I have some 300 55 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips waiting for my supply of 58 gr. Vmax's to run out. That said my friend uses the 55 gr. BT's for everything including deer. So far he has had no problems.
