After getting my FL die back from Hornady (the first one wasn't sizing the neck) I started testing for my Seekins/Compass Lake build.
While the velocity numbers are spectacular, the accuracy for me was pretty amazing. I rarely see results like this out of my Tikka A1.
Last week one notable group was as follows:
5 shot group
Berger 105g Hybrid
24.2g Vihtavuori N135
O.A.L 1.684"
C.O.A.L approx 2.203"
Average Velocity 2530'/sec
SD 7.4
ES 18
Group size .3130
I re-tested this week to see if it was a fluke and the results are as follows:
5 shot group
Berger 105g Hybrid
24.2g Vihtavuori N135
O.A.L 1.684"
C.O.A.L approx 2.203"

Group size .4180
Berger 105g Hybrid
24.4g Vihtavuori N135
O.A.L 1.684"

Average Velocity 2551'/sec
SD 12.1
ES 29
Group size .2855

How long is your barrel and what is your jump? I was under the impression the Berger Hybrid has a very long nose.

My barrel is a 24" Bartlein from Compass Lake Engineering
Here the measurements for approximate distance to lands using Hornady modified case and gauge:
105g Berger Hybrid 1.712" O.A.L and 2.229" C.O.A.L
By the way, do you, or anyone who reads this, know how to get all the text in white? I also could not load a photo and the link to the photo is obviously not working either.

The Berger 105 gr Hybrid is a pretty long at 1.256". Surprising your at 2.203" COAL. Been wanting to try them, but can't find them, so settled on the 107gr SMKs. Still developing the load for them, but with 28.3gr of LVR, saw a velocity node at 2750(close to max... seeing ejector swipes). These hit my lands at 2.254" and I just ran them at 2.244" to start the testing. Where did you find the Bergers? Would like to test a few.

Hey thanx CZ527. Oh, and I took your advice and bought the Whidden die set, and I should get the neck sizing bushes at the end of this week. These dies are really quite amazing. I hope they load as good as they look.
Ken C, I got them from Grafs a couple of months ago. I was checking Grafs, Brownells, Midway, and Basspro almost every day a few months ago waiting for my barrel. Grafs has some Berger 115g VLD in stock right now, but no hybrids.

Thanks. Just checked them out and out of stock on the hybrid. Need to check them everyday. Midway had the 105 non-hybrid, but passed on them. Loading some SMKs today for accuracy testing with the EC Tuner Brake I just got in. 28.3gr of LVR got me 2750 avg.
