What is your view of the US Constitution?
#1
It is hard for me to believe that some have a negative view of The US Constitution (link here).

To me and my family, The Constitution is one of the greatest features of this country. You see, both my parents are immigrants to the USA. And both grew up in countries that oppressed their populations all in the name of  “protection”.  I pray that God continues to bless These United States of America and its Constitution!

Alwie I thought it would be best to re-word your title, leaving your comment (which is appreciated certainly) as-written, and the poll. I reckon most on here would echo your positive opinions on it. Many of us (including you?) have already served, having sworn to protect it from all enemies, foreign and domestic. Those weren't "just words", either.

Title update.  Yes, I and many in my family have served the US military.

I think it was the greatest document ever written, But with time all things can be beaten.

When politicians learned that they could tax us and use that money to buy votes our country us doomed to die. Now as much as I don't want it to happen  I think it is just a matter of time before we become another Venezuela

The thought pains me, but I can see the US turn authoritarian in the not to distant future.

It appears to me that it’s already happening.

I took the oath that never expires many years ago, and spent years outside our country learning a whole new appreciation for it. It pains me greatly to see the path we are currently heading. If the opportunity to have a more direct influence on the future, in support of our country as envisioned by the founding fathers arises, I will remember that oath.
