Got the 90gr ELD-X in
Looking at Hornady load app
with LR powder
Low at 27.2gr supposed to be 2600
High at 32.3 supposed to be 3050
So am loading
1 at each
28.0, 28.3,28.6, 28.9, 29.2, 29.5, 29.8, 30.1, 30.4, 30.7, 31.0, 31.3. the last 1 is 1gr below max and plan on stopping if I hit or exceed 3000fps
again I'm going to match against factory load and check after every shot . After all once I get to the range I have all day
Any suggestions ?

that's for a bolt action, 24" barrel.
And that's an 87 gr, you might see a max of 30 fps less at 90 grs.
watch your seating depth, in my barrels they hit lands at 2.219-2.220" (several)
you will want some jump, not into the lands.
I've been doing around 2.180, some guys might seat closer, but just be aware.

In the Hornady loading app the 90ELDX is listed along side the 87gr in the bolt gun so I will keep a close record and watch .
I'll check my barrel again, looking back at my notes I measured with a 90gr GMX bullet , I'll check it again with the 90gr ELDX before seating. Unless I got it wrong the
C.O.L. : 2.140 is overall length ? for the when loaded like Hornady . I didn't look up a definition of C.O.L. I assumed that was what it was. and I know the old saying so maybe I shouldn't do that
and yes everything I am doing is for the bolt gun
I know I can't get what Hornady did (every barrel is different)
But
CZ527. check
24" , 1 in 7.5" twist. check
Federal 205. check
Max O.A.L. 2.26 but 90gr eldx is 2.14. check
I'm using different brass either once fired Hornady or starline 6.5 gren and picked their info to see if I can get consistent at that first then move on
Thanks for the input
