XBR + H4895 with 95s
#1
Did a little testing with my 95 grain mystery pulls that are likely Berger's in my 243 LBC with x39 brass just to get a ballpark of where to look since they use LRPs. Goal is to find a mid range load with a relatively temp insensitive powder not named Varget. Went to a max of 25.0 while Hornady data takes them to 25.8/25.9. That's pretty much the rule of thumb with the primer switch. Just did 2 of each to get an idea of pressure and velocity given that the cocktail isn't on the menu.

Got up to 2570 with XBR at 25 (equivalent max). Had very light ejector marks at 25.0 on both and on one at 24.7. I'm going to poke around down around 2500. The ejector marks were not visible at the range and I need to move them around under a light to see them. Conclusion: better velocities than what one gets with Hornady data hold. I'm also guessing XBR gives some of the same pressure wonkiness with 105s that it does with 6.5G and 123s.

H4895 was slow! Only got up to 2457. No ejector marks so there might be more room, but H4895 is far too precious to me to test further. I know there's data for H4895 on the internet that goes higher, but let's just say that I'm thankful I have both my eyes after using it a few years ago.
