I was sad to see that Benchmark did not show up with heavier bullets

the 6mm cartridge/ fat case is going to need relatively slow powders because of the over-bore; down at the 6mm range you get into a lot of choking of flow through the freebore into the barrel space.
I was a bit sad that even Varget didn't make it into much of the load data...
but o well.

In the Gas gun data Varget shows up starting at 87g projectile for gas guns. The funny thing is that the rifle data adds a listing for 108-110g and adds Benchmark back into the mix.

Most of the information on the net, that I have read, leans toward Varget being usable, but not the better choice. Which is interesting to me as it has always been a go-to. CFE223 has been yielding good results but seems to be viewed as dirty. I picked a challenging time to start shooting again and was surprised at the changes in types of powder available. Shooting silhouette, once you had your powder/load... thats what you shot, not much experimenting. Thankfully I started picking up things as I went and have a number of things to try... even a good amount of Lever... that seems to be a winner, if you believe what you hear on the 'net.

Lever has been my go-to for 90-105 gr pills in 6arc. I have tried varget for the 90 Sierra Tgk and it works, but still undecided if I go ther vice lever even for that bullet. Using the hdy 87 gr data as my guide for the 90’s.

It's becoming very apparent that someone needs to develop a stick powder with the burn rate and density of CFE/LVR.

There is some added online data that Hodgdon's manual doesn't have. The manual starts with 100gr Nosler partitions where the online data starts with the 58gr VMAX. This new online data is helpful to me 'cause it has loads for 80 & 88gr bullets. I have Sierra 80gr varminters & 88gr Berger varmint bullets that I wanna try. I have Nosler & Sierra 55 grainers but I think I'm just gonna use 'em for fire forming brass.

I am curious as to how the 3groove barrel differs from the norm... Most advertised seem to be a 7.5T with 5-6groove barrels.

Got out yesterday.  Very cold and windy. Sierra 85gr. Game King 30.6gr Hblc2 6.5 Hornady brass resized and trimmed.  Vel avg 2780 3/4 in groups horizontal spread.

105 HPBT Sierra CFE 223 powder 29.0 gr.  Inconclusive.  vel all over the place  but last 4 shots >1" @ 100.  These were with Hornady 6mm ARC brass.  So far I am impressed.
