Yeah looks like the 70 gr load is already in the bank!

Yeah, with that as a ‘starting’ load, I’d say you’re doing pretty darn well!

Sorry to hear about those burns... take care of em at our age there’s no shame in using antibiotics, ointment, aloe, whatever works! I’ve recently discovered salon pas pads for my back, instead of just toughing it out like guys do... go figure.

ive hought about trying some of the match bullets to do some long range shooting but to be honest the arc wont go as far as either my 20" or 28" grendels so if im going to shoot long range im going to grab one of those and start launching 130 rdf's 135 a-tips or 140g eld-m's , i may try to get my hands on a box or 2 of the high bc heavy bullets just to se how far i can push it though once or twice , but right now i have 1800 yards on an 18 inch target under my belt with the grendel ,and i plan to take that out to 2k

my main plan for this arc build is a 50-600y varmint and predator gun

You shot your Grendel over a mile and hit the target, or did the bullet hit the ground and rolled into the target? Big Grin

Didn't watch your video, I don't do social media. I wasn't saying that you didn't do it just adding a little humor to the thread.

1400 is as far out as I have seen or heard of anyone shooting a Grendel out to. And the holdover was ungodly high. I think I remember it being like 90 MOA, . The 6 ARC was shooting at over 1800 yards with a holdover of like 32 MOA. The Don't quote me on those numbers as I am going off memory. The reason I remember it is I was amazed at the difference in holdover was astronomically different, and the ARC was way more consistent at either hitting the target or getting very close to hitting it.

It is only my opinion and we'll leave it at that... No way a 6.5 Grendel is going to out shoot a 6 ARC at those distances, the 6 ARC will not only out distance the Grendel, it will do it with more consistency and accuracy. And the difference in impact energy is very minimal because the ARC retains it's velocity further out.
