But when will we see some brass?!!
Give a man a deer, and you’ll feed his family for a week or so. Teach him to shoot a deer, and he’ll soon spend all the grocery money on guns and ammo while his family goes without.

I want to get after my load development and would prefer to start with new unfired brass. I guess I oughtn’t complain since I’ve managed to acquire an adequate supply of factory loads and will soon be restuffing them. 100 rds down the new barrel as of this morning and I think it’s beginning to focus —groups are tightening up and fewer fliers. I have almost 100 rounds through my 18” Odin. I do about 20-25 per range trip. I started with a bit over an inch. Now I’m consistently around .75 moa. And that’s with factory ammo. I can’t imagine if I reloaded what I would see.

I haven't had such good results with factory, but I believe every barrel has its favorite load, so I'm looking forward to finding the one mine likes. it's like striking a chime with a mallet -- when you hit it just right, you get a perfect tone.

What is your bullet seating depth with factory ammo?

It's all consistently sized and well within magazine tolerance. I'm suspecting that the HDY ELD Match just isn't the load for my barrel. I have a variety of bullets I want to try once it's broken in and I have sufficient brass to experiment with.(04-24-2021, 03:37 AM)SvenGar58 Wrote: I haven't had such good results with factory, but I believe every barrel has its favorite load, so I'm looking forward to finding the one mine likes. it's like striking a chime with a mallet -- when you hit it just right, you get a perfect tone.
