WW748 is one of the powders want to try in both of my 6mm ARC rifles... gas & bolt.

I don't have any Nosler 105gr RDFs but do have Hornady 90 & 103gr ELD-X plus 100gr BTSP Interlocks. Hope they'll shoot as well as your Noslers did.

...I've got some Nosler 70gn Vgdon FB's and 105 RDF's loaded up w/748 to fireform my 6.5G converted brass. The 748 was the dregs left in the can so I figured I put it to use for fireforming and data collection just in case I couldn't obtain any Lever (which I eventually did). These rounds will also be used to put 1st rounds thru the barrel, if I can ever get to the range that is!

Pave, I loaded 28gr 748 behind 108 ELDs and both were excellent. First 5 shot group was with new brass and was just over 1/2'' with the 2nd using fireformed brass measuring .330. I now have CFE 223 and will compare it with the 748.

Got a magnetspeed for Christmas and am looking forward to more load development. Need powder and primers like everyone else. Do have some Lever but about out of 748. I am really enjoying the ARC. Have 200 rds of new Norma 22ppc brass I either need to sell or convert. Working with some Starline 6.5 brass right now. Looks promising.

Pave, I am down to 1/4# of 748 and it has given me my smallest groups so far. Shot a couple 3 rnd groups with CFE 223 at 29gr (105 and 108s) and it looks promising, might match the 748. It was windy (10 to 20+ gusting) so I did not want to waste loads that are bigger than calm. The verticle with Hornadys 105 HP was .077 and the horizontal just under 1/2''. This rifle shoots better than me, is very consistent and I think the 6arc is the easiest cartridge to get small groups with that I have ever loaded. The Hornady brass is doing better than I expected.

I've loaded an older lot of 748 in Hornady cases with F205MAR primers, Sierra 100gr BT at 2.130" (.010" off the lands) for a Savage 110 Tactical.

In 1x collet neck sized cases 29.0gr shot a bughole group at 100 yards. In 3x collet neck sized cases 29.4gr shot another bughole group. I worked up in 2/10gr to 30.0gr where I saw evidence of an ejector plunger on the case head, so seemed to be at the limit. Almost every charge weight with this powder and bullet has been MOA or less.

I tried Speer 85gr BTs and Hornady 90gr ELD X with AA2460 trying to get speed and accuracy, but either the rifle doesn't like 85-90gr bullets, or it doesn't like the powder. After pouring over load data and burn rate charts I've decided to try WW748 under these lighter bullets. If they shoot nice groups over 748, I won't pursue other powders at all (yeah, right).

You will want to check any ppc brass as the primer flash holes are very narrow and will cause normal pins to lock up your press (die). I bent a decapping pin and had to work to remove the pin.

I was at the range this afternoon with 90gr ELDX over a new lot of WW748. This new lot is 2% less dense than the old lot (metal cans), so charge weights are similar 100gr w/old vs 90gr w/new. Accuracy was better than with AA2460, so will pursue this further. Hodgdon has data on their site.
