6mm arc AMMO
#1
Finally located 6mm ARC ammo locally Wink They had all 3 varieties in stock at Runnings. Two box limit and had been on the shelf for a while or so I was told. 105 & 108 grain was priced near $25.00 per box. 103 gr ELDX was too much for my blood at $41.00 ish per box.

Selected 2 boxes each of the 105 & 108's So looks like I have ammo to work with and reload when my barrel arrives for the CZ 527. Sounds like the barrel may still be a month out or so Huh

25/box is great for today’s pricing. And you did not have to pay shipping!

Stop in a few more times and stock up. Ammo and brass is like money on the bank.

Yes was quite pleased with todays pricing. I am fairly well invested already. Still want to compare Fireformed Lapua brass going forward.

My local gunshop had the Hornady black on the shelf yesterday for $30 a box, looks like things are finally coming back. They've also had 1 lb jugs of leverevolution too for a bit.

Still in stock today. Two more boxes followed me home.

Just can not see how they think they can Price the 103 GR ELDX at an extra $15.00 per box of 20Sad

Funny how ammo does that when you go into a store. Darn stuff just jumps out at you!

Somehow the ELD-X commands a premium. Maybe fewer have been made or maybe the bullets themselves are more expensive. I’ve never looked at just the bullets ‘cuz I don’t roll my own. I’m still a Smokin’ O.P.’s guy!

I picked up 40 rounds of the -X (at $2.50/rd, gasp) just so I had some. I kind of felt guilty rewarding the place for gouging. But I was willing to pay, so it’s on me. I haven’t fired them yet, it’ll be pricey range trip when I do, lol.

I do roll my own & have acquired a stash of Berger 108 gr Elite Hunter projectiles that I believe will perform as good or better than the 103 gr ELDX. Suppose it may be best if us who do roll our own are able to leave the factory hunting fodder available for those who do not roll their own.

Initially I picked up the Berger 108's due to availability when Hornady 103 gr projectiles were not available. Also have 80 gr GMX that may get the nod for Hunting inside of 200 yards which is where I do most of my hunting any way. Accuracy will be a major determining factor as to what bullet is selected for hunting.

Spoke w barrel MFG for the drop in barrel ordered for a CZ 527 & this is looking to be a while longer than Id like. Patience will win out on this one I am confident.

Darn if Runnings hadn't replenished stock of 6mm Arc ammo. Another two boxes followed me home. Good thing the don't have any rifles.
