Not sure what most of you may be using for ammo boxes, and this is probably pretty obvious, but these work perfectly:

When you see that it is meant for the 6mm PPC among other cartridges it is a certainty that it should work, and they do so very, very nicely. There is just sufficient room inside the lid to insert a thin piece of closed cell foam to protect bullet tips as well.

The MTM RSS-50 ammo boxes are my preferred ammo boxes for my 6.5 Grendel & 6mm ARC ammo but there are a couple of other choices.
These Caldwell boxes are for 7.62x39 ammo. They work perfectly for 6.5 Grendel & 6mm ARC as well but higher in price.

These are also for 7.62x39 (22 PPC) but are made in China. The box hinge doesn't appear too durable. It may weaken & break with multiple openings & closings. I have some of these. They seem to be holding up so far.

Good enlightening discussion. MTM RSS-50 ammo boxes have been my primary use just because that is what I had. They work well enough for loaded ammo. Fired cases can be a bit of a pain to remove from the RSS-50 ammo box though & cases only fit with the base up. Quite sure Id prefer the RSS-S-50 ammo box as the cases will fit freely base up or down. Suspect the Caldwell option would do well also though the price is a deterrent for sure.

I use Caldwell boxes ( 7.62x39) buying them from Amazon
