Seems there are more trimming components for 6.5 Grendel versus 6-ARC and 6-Grendel ...
So those of you who are trimming - are you trimming before necking down to 6mm or are you seeing where you end up and using magic to trim 6mm.
I figured LEE precision would have a zip trim gauge for 6mm by now but Nope......

Not a 6mm Grendel guy but I use the rcbs trimmer Trim-pro I think it's called, for which I make a standard-trimmed-length case for each caliber and set the trim length to that case, then put it back into the dies-box. Then all my cases get trimmed to that length. Whenever I need to trim that caliber again, out comes my std case to set the length, then back into the die-case for storage. That case is already re-sized btw but oal is what the rcbs tool goes off of.

Size parent case to new case, trim to be under max length. (case will usually shrink during fireform).
Size fireformed cases and trim to a uniform length under max (I usually go exactly between min and max).
Trimming done using Wilson case trimmer. It works fine for 6.5 Grendel and 6PPC so I would think the case holder would be fine with the 6ARC (6ppc, 22ppc 17ppc case holder). Or wait for Wilson to make a 6ARC specific case holder.

the Wilson 6.5 Grendel Case holder works for the 6mm ARC just fine. i've resized over 300 Grendel cases (after full length sizing them) with no problems using the Wilson case trimmer.

I trim after necking down with a Hornady Cam Lock trimmer and RCBS Trim Pro 3 way Cutter. My right tricep is extremely toned

I trim after necking down and then again after fireforming. All my trimming is done with the RCBS Trim Pro power case trimmer. If you buy the 3 way cutter you can trim a truck load of brass very quickly all to a uniform length and it comes out chamfered and deburred to boot. If you don’t use the three way cutter you will still need to chamfer and debur in separate operations.
If you already have the RCBS trim pro or trim pro 2’s they sell the power head and base separately as a unit. It’s one of those things that makes you choke at the price but kick yourself in the pants for not investing in earlier.
All you need for the trim pro is a 6mm pilot and 6.5 Grendel case holder plate.
