Just got around to playing with my new Garmin Xero C1 Pro shot 30 rounds of Factory Hornady 103eldx .
Had
avg 2760
std dev 36.5
Had 6 at or over 2800 fastest at 2826 and slowest was 2699
Honestly I was expecting better than this.
Anyone else had experience with the factory 103's

I notice for hornady, for me, that it matters what lot# the factory ammo is. Within a lot# it sometimes, not always, shoots ok. Go to a different lot#, and your MVs will differ sometimes significantly.
Was all of this from 1 or several lots?
Another point, as far as hdy factory goes. Sometimes it will shoot well for an 18", or 20", or my 22" bolt action, but most times, not for all of them out of the same lot#.
So when I buy it I have to figure it's kind of a roll of the dice, as far as what rifle ti will be good for. Or not.
Those numbers seem like quite a spread to me, even though some of their factory stuff will show 20-25 ES at times in mine. If it happens to be on a wide node, then it will group ok at 100, at farther distances, all bets are off though.

I didn't check , but will look at what I have left. I bought a bunch when I first got my rifle. surprisingly my worst group was 1.2" and best was .64. Doing 3 shot groups after zero . used 6 shots for zero and 8 3 shot groups
Looked at the Lot#'s were the same on the 2 boxes I brought home from range threw 1 away there don't know about it .
But looking at what I have left , I have 2 boxes each from 5 lot#'s left so I will be sure to use together. Thought I would use these up before moving to reloading.
Off to South Carolina this weekend for first hunt of this year. Thanks for the insight
