Barrel length?

Currently have a 24” barrel but thinking of adding a suppressor . 
What barrel length are you guys using with suppressors and how much velocity loss to you get ?

Suppressors usually add 10-20 fps due to the gasses being a little more forward-directed, may or may not affect your grouping and POI (Poi usually drops a bit due to that droop).
Adding a suppr. will hang anywhere from 7-12 oz onto the end of your barrel, which will add some downward droop... so it becomes a matter (to me) more of how well your barrel's thickness/stiffness can handle that weight on the tip. Note that 24"+suppressor will be hard to maneuver in a stand.

I've shot mine with some 20-24" barrels but in the 308-class and rather sturdy barrels, stiffness wise, ~0.8xx"-ish diameters at the muzzle.
Personally I don't really like it on a barrel over 20". I need to do some more shooting with it at that 20" length to see how I like it. I did it a few yrs ago on a couple of trips on a shorty pistol-type 12.5" but the gas blow-back was not appealing to me. I wound up breaking that 12.5 down and putting that little barrel on the shelf, may have even got rid of it - I don't keep things much if they aren't going to be put to use.
