Quick update,
Had issues with the PBB barrel but they were good about a refund. Got an ACE barrel on there now chambered by Unlnown Munitions…worth its weight in gold, I’ve never had such and accurate sporter weight rifle before.
Magazine feed reliability has finally had a couple hiccups. The S mag and the 5-round mags to be specific. The M 3-round has still yet to to anything other than glide the rounds home with a whisper.
Issue with S mag is that the feed lips are too far forward for the increased diameter of the cartridge (compared to the 223). Tilts too much too late in the bolt stroke and the last round can jam. With the 5-round mags, there’s enough air below to allow much the same thing even with the M size.
For me, not an issue bc I prefer to run the 3-round and it’s still flawless. Have about 800-1000 rounds on this gun so far, just doing a semi-custom rifle stock to round it out and it’ll be done.
