I did some workup with 90 Tgk's at the range.
Using Varget, seated to 2.260 off of the Vmax 87gr data as guide. Similar to JRB.
29.1 gr, 2807, sd-14
29.3, gr, 2831, sd-7
29.5 gr, 2851, sd-5.4
29.7 gr, 2871, sd-3.4
29.9 gr, 2886, sd 19.
So I'll do some more in the 29.3-29.7 range, maybe try some seating depth delta's...
But anywhere in that mid 2800 range would be great for a hunting load.
ps, I don't try to "find" a good load simply with 0.5 gr increments, I might use that to establish the working range of this lb of powder and this barrel, but load increments > 1% charge wt have the likelihood of missing/skipping right over a node, at least in my estimations. So once I have an idea where the node might be I look at 0.8-0.5% wt increments to identify it... however a 0.1 gr delta isn't usually statistically significant so 0.2 gr is usually my lower limit.
