Initially was shooting A-Max 105gr because I got a great deal on 1K all the same lot number. I struggled with them most of this summer (200+) thinking it was me or I just had not found the "one" yet, but I could not get any decent results or consistency.
Finally out of desperation and dwindling summer days, I bought some Sierra TGK 90gr, ELD-X 103gr, and ELD-M 108gr. I loaded a ladder test with the sierra and the eld-m 108. The results with the 108's was dramatic to say the least, because I had yet to see anything even close to that.
I'm not big on freezing so I'm focusing on the ELD-M 108 for now, but given some time I plan on experimenting further with the Sierra and give the ELD-X 103 a try also.
If anyone is wondering, I brought the remaining A-Max to my LGS/Farm store and traded them for all the ELD-M (300) they had and a carbon fiber cleaning rod, so I did pretty well and they were happy to have a much lower cost projectile to sell, she told me nobody wanted the ELD-M because they were too expensive... lol
