I switched to CCI 450 primers for this work up due to the 400's having slight primer cratering, which was odd cause the 450's had more pronounced cratering and a couple of punctured primers on the upper end of the ladder. I'll get a pic of the empties posted.
This ladder was 5 rounds at each charge weight of 8208xbr beginning with 25.4 grains and ending with 28.1 grains moving up in .3 increments. Hornady 95 grain SST, CCI 450 primers, CBTO 1.678 and no crimp. I almost didn't fire the 28.1 grain charge weights due to what i thought was excessive primer cratering at 27.8 grains but curiosity got the better of me so I did.

I know the groups could have been better if I would have taken more time on each string but the range was busy today and there were a lot of cease fires\cold line calls.
I think I'm done with this powder\bullet combination, 8208xbr is looking like it is at its limit. Going to make up a ladder of Accurate 2520 and Hornady Leverevolution next and see where that takes me.
The brass is in the box left to right from lowest charge weight to highest charge weight.
Thanks for the information, Trashy.
Good stuff.
