2” difference is barrel length will effectively not matter performance wise. I believe intended useage, handling characteristics and weight are what you should make your decision about.

I took the 22” sporter since overall it’s a “Mini” action and wanted light. GLW your decision.

It would be nice to be able to get hands on them but nobody near me carries them. Does your 22" heat up pretty quickly?
