I like the poly tip or brass tip (like bergers) better... for those reasons.
But those 100's will definitely shoot.
The shape of the hdy 100 is better, oal-wise, than the sierra, so OALs while shorter than 2.260, will also differ between mfrs on these lead-tips.
I've stuck with mostly Lever or some CFE for these 100+ pills.
I started preloading to put a bullet like the Hornady 90gr CX in but have become unsure of longer shots expanding. I have killed all my deer with the 103ELDX but since I have started reloading I have been looking at other bullets
