I'm surprised by the price on the Hornady 105's. .530 BC and $.21 a piece. That's going to be some inexpensive fun!

I'm in the process of buying some long range bullets for my new project. I am wondering what the top three choices people will buy to try out in their ARC.

I am wondering what the top three choices people will buy to try out in their ARC.

I'm thinking in terms of categories:

1) Light varmint bullet

2) Deer hunting bullet

3) Long-range match bullet

For varmint bullet I'm thinking Speer 6mm 70gr TNT (BC.282)

For deer I'm thinking Sierra 6mm 90gr or 100gr Tipped GameKing — their "GameChanger."

For competition bullet Nosler 6mm 105gr RDF — or Berger 105gr HT or 109gr LRHT.

I've got 90 gr TGK's and 103 Eldx's, plus 100 sierra gamekings already on hand.
Also some 95 Berger but which type I'm not sure as I sit here writing.
So plenty to play with, without even going to the store.

Berger bullets I prefer the Hybrids as they are not as sensitive to seating depth relations to the lands

I like the Hornadys, and have shot a lot of them along with Berger 105 HVLD's  out of my 243 Ackley. The Berger's shoot tighter though.
