I've had great success with American Reloading but I bought some of the 80 gr JSP's a month or so ago and the tips were flattened, some crookedly flattened. Started doing some work with them in my 6x45 and didn't get them to do anything better than 2 MOA - I'm guessing they're wobbling. I've been trying to figure out a way to snip the points off - ebay keeps sending me emails to come back to look at pencil sharpeners. I guess it's hit or miss with them as I bought 2k of their .224 Premium Mix a few months ago and all of the soft points (mostly 62 and 75 gr Gold Dots) were in great shape. The 243 80s look like Speer Hot Cores but they aren't - I have a bunch of those to compare. I did manage to get 1k of .224 50 gr Hollow Points for $80.74 tonight when their email went out and just before they sold out. Likely TNTs.

I had a similar experience w the 100 sg BT SP where 40 percent of the bullets are near a loss w badly deformed points. Decided to give the pulled 95 gr fusions a try as well as 80 gr fb sp. 500 each. Well the 95 gr fusions along w the 80 gr sp showed up today, Happy to report these are much more like what I would have hoped for.

If they do not work out well for the 6mm arc they should do well it the 6mm Remington. I am confident they will make fine hunting & varmint ammo. Optimistic these will work well for both.

My 8.074¢ 50 gr .224 HPs arrived today. Pretty funny that 1000 bullets can fit in a USPS small flat rate box with room to spare. They are in good shape and based on length they appear to be Dogtowns (MidWay's private label made by Nosler). Hodgdon's pistol data for a 15" says I should get 2950 out of my pin and weld with several powders I have. My ballistics app says they'll hold the perfect 50/200 zero with a 1.6" apex. Perfect for high volume zombie work loaded up in free range brass.

As annoyed as I was with the tips of the 80 gr JSP's, they otherwise usually leave me highly satisfied.

Sorry, I just used this thread because I didn't want to start another American Reloading thread. The 95s I have were advertised as "95 gr SMKs" but actually ended up being 95 gr Berger Classic Hunter's. They've been absolutely stellar for the price for practice rounds out to 550 (I load a very mild charge at 2400 fps in x39 brass). Out of about 650 loaded, a few, maybe 5 or 6) have gone in the RB due to a slight protrusion. Occasionally (once or twice in a 50-60 round session) one will be quite errant - likely due to a deformity from pulling, but I just give them a very quick visual inspection and roll the bearing surface in my fingers when loading. I'm not a game hunter, but if I was, this would be the 6mm bullet I would use - I can drop them onto a 6" octagon plate at 550 if the wind isn't too kooky. If I saw them offered up again, I'd buy as many as I could.
