Found this this morning, amazing they were only using Berger 109 gr. bullet. I have some Berger 115's on the way, maybe I should try and snag some 109's

Here he does a 1776 shot with the 109's

If you can not see the tyranny of having a gun ban enforced by men with guns... Then you fail to understand why the second amendment was written in the first place.

He almost has enough time to run down to the corner store and grab a cup of coffee between release and impact.

If you see any of the 109s anywhere, let me know! I've been looking for a while.

I have some Berger 108gr Elite Hunter 6mm bullets. I wonder if they work as well as the 109's? I also have an 8lb jug of Varget.

The meplat of the 109s is specifically designed for reduced bullet to bullet variation in BC and long range target shooting. I would assume that the Elite Hunter's meplat is designed for consistent and controlled expansion. At that sort of range, the hunting bullet would likely have more vertical dispersion.

I don't know how much design goes into how well a target bullet will transition through the sound barrier (I always assume there is none). Even if there is an element involved, I would doubt it would be a parameter with a hunting bullet since 1125 or so is well below reliable expansion velocities.
