SMK 107s

Hey Everyone! Any run SMK 107s yet? Just curious. Getting ready to test with LVR. Seems as it might be in the sweet spot for the ARC at 107gr.

29.1 gr Lever in Hornady brass. 2.275” OAL or 28.8gr CFE223 same a OAL. My two best with the 107. Only had 1 box but they both shot .5-.75”. Wish I had more to play with. No chrony data yet. Maybe next time they will get a chronograph. Both loads have been posted else where and I tried them on a whim. The node for Lever and 103-108 have all been around 29 gr for me and others so start a little low and work up. I haven’t played with CFE much but it’s very similar to Lever. 18” BA barrel with RLGS and std block for reference.

Thanks. I will have to check my measurements again, but I originally got my max COAL at 2.254" measured. I normally start load development by starting CBTO .015" off the lands, but was going to start at .010" with these and testing for OCW for low SD/ES first. If my measurements were correct, 2.275" would be way too long and in the lands. 24" McGowen with AGB. I do see Brownell's has 105 Bergers in stock, but since I have just ordered 500 107SMKs(already have 200), I will hold off and get the best I can out of the 107s. Will update when I get Chrono data(Magnetospeed).

How does the SMK 107 compare to the Berger 105 hybrid for accuracy and G7 coefficient?

The 107 SMK has pretty much been all I've worked with as it was all I could find at first.  Well, to a lesser extent also the Nosler 105 RDF.  Pictured is a couple of three round groups fired while I was sighting in my new Arken Optics SH4 scope.  The load was the 107 MK, seated to 2.260 in front of 29.5 grains of LeverEvolution with Tula SRM primer.  Oh, velocity on these run around 2585 fps out of a Proof Research 18" barrel.  The Noslers I have not been able to get much better than 1.5-2 MOA.
