Same thing they told me. They added, "Maybe later this summer."

I can get Lapua 6.5 Grendel brass and convert it right now for about $110/100 so Starline 6 ARC brass better be less than that.

When it comes out Ill expect the Starline 6mm arc Brass will run 30.00 to 40.00 per hundred less. Though I am not holding my breath. The Lapua 6.5 Grendel Brass or Starline will serve one very well with not much effort IMHO. I intend on forming up a hundred Lapua 6.5 Grendel to 6mm ARC myself. Have the brass in hand.

Starline catching up with their brass demand is like looking to be caught up with household chores.

When the Starline 6mm Arc brass does come available it will be a welcome sight.

It will indeed be welcome and if it is like you expect to be $30-40/100 then again there will be a shortage of 6 ARC brass because I believe a lot of people will be buying 1000-2000 pieces of it at a time.

...the production of 6ARC brass by any manufacturer will be welcomed, but I suspect pricing will be pretty much in line with whatever 6.5Grendel brass is going for at the time.

...I can't recall the specific forum where I saw a pic of cross-cut cases (Lapua, Norma, Hornady, Starline, etc.) but there was commentary that despite the Lapua's good reputation, it was theorized that the juncture of the base to wall angle of the Lapua brass was "weaker" and attributed to reports of the "Grendel Belt" in fired cases. I don't have any personal experience with Lapua brass, but these kind of "reports" at times do cause me pause about purchasing it, can't truly determine if its worth the roughly 100% increase in cost per casing. But as I have done in the past, if its the only component available at the time, I'd buy it.....just like I did when buying the Starline 6.5G brass and the bullets I have tested. To be honest, every 6ARC component and reloading dies I have were purchased only because those were the only available ones when I committed to 6ARC.

I was expecting more like $70.00 to $80.00 per 100 or a bit more than Grendel offerings.

My understanding & experience is the Lapua quality is seen as quite a step up by the bolt action crowd. I am not an AR kind of guy. though if I understand correctly, the aggressive extraction tends to be hard on all brass & lapua brass is not as appreciated in the AR circles.

There is some in stock Hornady brass at powder valley at the time of this post, packs or 50 only at $38.65 or $77.30 for 2 packs. I would expect starline to be around that price when available. Although out of stock, the 250 bulk pack price was $103.30. At $.42 each, a much more reasonable price.
