Black Hill 6ARC loading
#1
First up is the 6mm ARC. This cartridge has made quite a splash and many rifle manufacturers are starting to pick it up. Black Hills chose the 103 grain Hornady ELD-X projectile for this load. The ELD-X is a hunting projectile with a polymer tip and heavier jacket, but it maintains a high ballistic coefficient for long range efficiency. Listed velocity is 2,600 FPS.

I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but it strikes me as strange that Black Hills would choose a Hornady bullet that's already available in a Hornady factory loading.

Guessing choosing the Hornady bullet, opens nessisary doors for other needed components like brass & who knows what else?

It looks like they are using the 103 gr ELD-X at 2600fps.

I got excited there for a minute hoping for an LRX or TTSX. But still, it is good to see another ammo maker step up.

Black Hills makes good ammo. Glad to see another 6 ARC ammo supplier. I wonder how long it will be before it's available for purchase? It's not shown in the Black Hills website yet.
