Powder funnel
#1
I was trying out my scale and noticed that the funnel that came with my Lee press kit had powder stuck to the sides after filling a case. Is that normal or do you guys use an aftermarket funnel ?

Thanks

You can try wiping the funnel down with anti static sheets or spray. I have had funnels for years & never used them. A drop tube on the thrower worked very well. Now I went to a RCBS link & the funnel is now a necessity. Have had similar issues & the anti static spray & wipe cleared that up. Though I am still encountering difficulty with powder hanging up a bit at the exact transition of the funnel to the case mouth. Open to ideas here.

I looked at after market funnels some metal turned with .243 openings BUT darn that 30 dollar stuff . Guess after all I've spent  I shouldn't worry.

I will try the anti static sheets.

Buy either metal funnel with bushings from either hornady or Lyman, your choice on which brand. Hope this helps

If you only intend on loading 6mm Arc perhaps a caliber specific funnel may fit your needs best. I was needing to step up to a better option myself. I was inspired to order the top of the line option & a somewhat less option to try. Top of the line arrived today & the somewhat lesser caliber specific option will show up next week.

BassFish: Id give the Satern caliber specific a hard look. Ill be able to share more after next week. If you intend on loading multiple calibers then the bushing style is looking more attractive from my perspective.

Satern can be found at Brownells, Midway & that online auction site among others.

How are you doing since the A-fib concern?

My magneto speed sporter will be here in a week so I am going slow on reloading. I will be loading 6.5 CM and 6ARC so I ordered the https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08N6J...UTF8&psc=1

Thinking it would work for my 2 and maybe my grandsons stuff to .

Everything else is going good, some of my meds cause me to shake and the doctors decided to not reopen my closed artery .

I'm not sure I could do target shooting now but I still can hit the sweet spot on a deer out to 300

I do enjoy reloading glad I got on here and picked it up. I only did a few today but feels comfortable .

Thanks for the input

Went ahead and got these , seem to work great and cost was not bad

That FA kit should serve you well for a long time. That one either wasn’t to market yet or I just flat overlooked it when I picked up my Hornady funnel kit. Your static problem should be no more, wish they would figure out that for powder dispensers and trickles.

I think moving from Plastic to metal (aluminum ) would solve the problem but cost would be out the roof.
