#1
Starline's top-quality factory-new 6mm ARC brass is finally available — but on backorder — on Starline's website.

This means dealers will also have it soon.

Thanks. 7 cents a case to have them do the trimming seems like a bargain!

Called Starline this morning on my order, and confirmed that it is in the pipeline... just not shipped yet (ordered 2 weeks ago).
Starline apparently did ship to Midway b/c they had some 50 ct bags (repackaged) for sale last week, now sold out. And HSM has some new ammo out online (75 vmax and 95 bergers) -- which I doubt has Hornady brass, rather more likely it is starline... so bottom line, some things are beginning to crank out of the production line...
but....
waiting.

Well, Starline CS is pretty much non-existent. I got an order in, I THINK, b/c it went thru during that backorder period.
Now the waiting, they say they would ship within 30 days... but impression I got was it was lots quicker than that for guys, you know, grendel brass and such.
So I'm coning up on 3 weeks now. I did call once, the lady said -- well, not much, just we'll get to you when we get to you.
Has anyone else got their brass from that backorder period ~ late June?
I did see a couple places, as mentioned that had some, Druid Midway etc, but I thought, I'll just wait cuz my order is in with the starline folks....

Did I say their customer service stinks? Why does a company have to be that way... it must take effort to be so unresponsive.

Honestly if some hornady shows up again I might just grab some, it's been fine for me so far.

Update. I called Starline again, this week, to talk about the status of my order. Unlike the previous attempt, this time I got some real answers and info (not that I liked it, but it is what it is).
When you go onto the backorder list, this only means you have a "place in line" (the CS rep's words). No idea how close or far back you are, and they can't or won't tell you. In this case, even though I "had a place in line", the current run has run out. They will do another run, but no word on when. So if you're willing, you can keep your place in line until your number comes up. But it might not even come up in the next batch.
Well I thanked her and asked for my order to be cancelled today. She did so graciously and sent me an email to document it.
Just be advised, when you order on a "backorder", there's no guarantee you will get your brass this time, next time, or whenever..... just that "you have a place in line."
For more commonly run brass that's probably ok. For 6 Arc, she did not know when the next run was even going to be.
I did also tell her that I use starline in several other calibers, and that I'll be back... just did not want to wait an indeterminate time for an indeterminate shipping.

Ordered brass from Larry on Weds this week, brass arrived today Friday!!
Missouri to smalltown VA in 1/2 a week.
Beats ordering in June only to be told in July that I "have a place in line" but no idea how long that line is, nor when it might start "moving" again...
Just sayin'.

Larry Potterfield that is.

I received an email from Starline about new 6mm ARC brass being available for backorder on July 21st, placed an order on the same day, received an email on July 27th that my order has been confirmed and also received an email from UPS on the same day that my package had been shipped and would be delivered on August 1st.

My 6mm ARC brass order from Starline arrived Saturday one whole month after I ordered it. My order receipt did say "Back order" so I'm not surprised it took that long.

It can either be a while... I was on it, and called, they said they ran out in their run, didn't know when the next run was, so I cancelled and ordered from sixfive.
on the other hand, another guy was on two weeks and then they shipped out.
Roll of the dice.
So yeah, just depends on what you want to do...
