A handgun in 6mm ARC
#1
I recently acquired a CVA Scout V2 in 6.5 Grendel, and posted a photo over at Specialty Pistols with the comment that I would love to see this platform in 6mm ARC. Then another forum member posted this link. Very intrigued. The barrels for the CVA Scouts are made by Bergara.

Man, I really did not need to see that.

But thank you!

Well, at least it is out of stock…

Apparently this version was a limited run ordered by Bill Hicks & Co. CVA says it was a one time deal unless Hicks decides to order more. The Scout V2 is still currently available chambered for about six other cartridges, and every review I found praised it quite highly.

Having owned quite a few Thompson-Center Contenders and Encores over the years, I have to admit I would love to play with one.

Well, it has taken just over two years, but the CVA Scout pistol is once again available in 6mm ARC.

I’m not sure if it is a limited run or not, but I received a message from Buds that it was back in stock and I purchased one immediately (it should arrive at my local FFL next week).

There are two different companies making an aftermarket pistol grip that will accept different forms of arm braces, so it would be amazingly simple to make up a compact coyote gun that can use a conventional scope. Or, leave it as is and mount a good pistol scope, which are becoming increasingly rare these days.

In any case, it is back. If you at all interested, get one while the getting is good!
