22 ARC Barrels In the Works
#1
At SHOT Show 2024 I chatted with the SAAMI guys, and they said the final drawing for Hornady's new 22 ARC was approved in their official meeting Sunday, January 21, and that the print should be posted to the SAAMI.org website in about two weeks.

With the final, official print, we'll get reamers made and get our REXUS 22 ARC barrels into the next stage of production.

We're gearing up to offer 22 ARC barrels in addition to its brother cartridges 6.5 Grendel and 6mm ARC.

Gonna be fun!

Which barrel lengths do you want to see from our REXUS line in 22 ARC?

See poll — you can vote for more than one length.

You know me. 20" threaded muzzle. So RLGS.
I've got all the other pieces/parts on hand I think... so let 'er rip!

Don't know what "normal" or "HB" mean, but probably normal as I won't hot rod it anyway.

Why o why am I doing this? Don't know, maybe just need a new project...

I do have some 75, 77's on hand. Might just go with those to begin with and let 'em scream!!

Edit to add: Hodgdon already has their load data online.

How did you know I have uppers and handguards waiting for barrels?

If Brass becomes available I would be in for 20-22” because I will run suppressed with heavies.

My second choice would be the 18” heavy. But the poll would only allow 1 length.

Now the only caliber you are missing is the 7.62 x 39mm.
