Whoa. I found the same savage stock # at 3 more online shops, savage axis ii model 57769. Everyone’s out of stock but they all say 6mm arc, 1:7.5 22” barrel.

wow - no one has any in stock. Looked at six different sites. Wonder if you can order directly from Savage.

I think that means they are coming.... I bet they get their sku numbers direct from mfr, so savage has fed the # to the distributors.

And i just sent my Savage 10 to be chambered to 6mm ARC, 24" 1/7 Twist 5R.
It will be cheaper to buy the Axis and have a better stock put on.

Savage 110 Tactical 6MM ARC. This looks even better! https://www.dahlonegaarmory.com/product/...-bbl-12rds

Cool, but why an 18" barrel? Other Savage 110 Tactical calibers have up to 24" barrels. Seems to me the 6mm ARC's potential is not being fully utilized at 18".

Old Bob, that is a great question, the AXIS II has a 22 inch bbl. First thought is it's to be handy like the Ruger American Ranch.
Second thought is to pair it with the military version requirement of 18 inch barrel in the contract specs. for the AR platform.

Found out today that Shilen makes a 6Arc barrel for Savage pre-fit. Northland can order it.
Once I get my hands on one of the savage models and shoot it a bit, I'll probably re-barrel it.

Kinda stinks that they did the 110 in 18" barrel, that really doesn't make sense to me.
20-24" would make more sense.
The 110 action/barrel setup - I like.
I've not been a fan of the accufit stock system, I have a couple and just couldn't get them to work for me. So I've switched them out for chassis or bell/carlson...

Is the Savage 110 6 MM ARC an action the same size as 7.62x51/308, 6.5 CM or is it on an smaller action like used with 223 Remington on some bolt actions?

the new 110 styles are Model 10 size, unless you go into the long action "110" - which I think have a slightly different name.
I have ad have had a few, all have been model 10 in size.

To my surprise there is an AXIS II in 6mm ARC, YES! But it would be nice to have a Savage 6MM ARC in other models as well, can you tell me what other models you have planed for the 6MM ARC?
Thanks! And why no fanfare or news release about the AXIS II coming out in 6mm ARC?
This email is a service from Savage Arms, Inc. Savage Arms."
