I posted in the Lapua bullet thread about which Lapua brass is the way to go for 6mm ARC. I don't have a neck turning tool, but I do have a trim and chamfer.
I saw some 220 Russian is in stock here:
https://www.brunoshooters.com/mm5/mercha..._Code=7726
Is this a good price? And should I hold out for 6.5 Grendel or 7.62x39 Lapua match grade?
First time buying brass, I only have fireformed Hornady atm so any suggestions are much appreciated.
p.s. Nooby question: How do you quote someone elses post?

This is correct. You need to click both buttons.
The price for Lapua 220 Russian brass at Brunos is a little on the high side. Use the link CZ527 Guy posted.
For Lapua 7.62x39 brass:

Brownells & Midway USA both have Lapua 7.62x39 brass but it costs more...

Note: At least in my case, I do not need to turn necks when forming 6mm ARC from 220 Russian.
Suspect Neck turning may be nessisary if you start out w 7.62 x 39 brass as your parent brass necked down to 6mm arc. IMHO the large rifle primer not only is not needed in the 6mm ARC. Id say the large rifle primer would be less desirable.
If the initial brass price is a major concern for a reloader then Id expect Starline 6.5 Grendel brass has been one of the better buys recently. not sure You will have any luck finding the starling brass at present.
The 220 russian brass formed to 6mm arc renders brass nearly identical to the Hornady 6mm ARC brass with the exception of the need to trim the neck to length & of corse the head stamp. & smaller flash hole. On the up side the brass weight uniformity & tight more uniform primer pockets. & IMHO the brass withstands a little more pressure.
If you can't telll , I do favor the 220 russian brass as the parent brass for forming 6mm ARC. With Lapua & starling 6.5 grendel
as a fairly near second choice.
Due to neck turning concerns and mostly the LR primer ID place 7.62x39 in any brand as a very distant 3rd choice for parent brass for 6mm ARC. JMHO
