Newbie to 6mm ARC from California
#1
Hello all,
I'm retired LEO and have been shooting pistol, AR-style rifles, just usually tactical type stuff, and recently got into long range shooting with 260 Rem.

I saw the 6mm ARC cartridge come out and decided to build a premier AR-15 6mm ARC long distance target rifle shooting from 600 to 1,000 yards. I have access to such a range nearby, and I am really looking forward to developing loads, testing out different equipment for it, and really learning all about the capabilities of this smaller shorter AR15 cartridge out to 1,000 yards and beyond. I will really lean on this community for advice and help with things, and hopefully, I will be able to offer some help, too, as people continue to join.

Right now, I need advice on triggers - I've still got the mil-spec trigger - and want an adjustable, reliable drop-in trigger, not a 'hair' trigger, but very light and crisp.

Thanks for having me here, and I'll look forward to engaging here for a long time to come.

Rico, welcome. If your budget allows it, take a look at the Geissele National Match triggers, should go good with your planned build. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum Rico!

I echo r.tenorio671's suggestion for the Geissele trigger (SSA-E). It's a really good trigger... hard to beat. Others that you might consider are LaRue's MBT-2S & my favorite, TriggerTech's AR0-TBB-33-NNC Competition Trigger.

You can also look at Timney triggers for something you might like.
