...not surprised at the introduction, the 6ARC is gaining interest at a fast rate, especially as summer approaches. I found it interesting that the hunter series barrel uses mid-length gas system and recon series uses rifle length gas system, yet both are 18" tubes. Have to admit, their pricing is pretty attractive, competitive with most and will attract more users....a good sign.

And why only 18" barrels? I'd rather have a 20 incher with a rifle or +1 gas length. I wonder if those barrels have different diameter gas ports?
I'm not all that sure the 6 ARC is catching on that fast. No other ammo makers have offered any loads for it yet. I'd like to see some factory ammo with bullets under 100gns (70 to 90) for long range varmint shooting.

....I would suspect it's based on the "published" design parameter's of the DoD platform. The market for folks that like to "mimic" military arms is a proven market, smaller than the hunting market, but a proven market that Wilson may be capitalizing on. As a "proven" length/gas system in the DoD testing, it allows Wilson to enter the market at a lower risk. Branching into a different set of parameters will require more R&D time/dollars. Check out the disclaimer about self-built rifles they posted at the bottom of the page for the barrels. They will not trouble shoot customer built platforms.

I’m happy to see this. I have 556 and 300blk barrels that both shoot very well.
Now, if they offer a SBR length I’ll be in for one!
