Kind of pricey, but lots of variety available.

All their info is for 18" barrel, would like to see this one for a 24" barrel bolt

IMO, I'm a bit skeptical on their MV claims...
For instance, a 95 gr LRX, 18" barrel, 2850... and a long copper one but not vld, at that (no idea on what its max OAL to lands really is...) 95 Bergers vld can go up to and beyond 2.260, the classic, not so much. So does this lrx stick down into the powder column...
95 gr cup/core pills in my 20" barrel, for a gas gun I can barely get to 2800, and that might be pushing it a bit over sammi max.
2780 is more like it, and this from a barrel 2" longer. (ie, and some accuracy too)
so for a barnes solid mono, 18", 2850...?

grayfox,

I ordered some and will try to run a few over a chrono. I chose the TTSX and LRX to try out of my 18” and 12.5” guns.

Stand by!

I agree with grayfox. I get 2849 with 90gr Bergers out of a 22" barrel. I could get more if I didn't care about my brass or bolt.

Well warranted skepticism, as it turns out. I made it to the range with my Caldwell chrono. I was disappointed with both the precision and velocity.

Results for my 18” Odin barrel

95gr LRX. (advertised 2850 fps)
Average 2408 fps with a SD of 4.0
Group size- .6, 1.1, 1.6, 1.75

80gr TTSX. (Advertised 3000 fps)
Average 2562 fps with a SD of 20.8
Group size- 1.35, 1.1, 1.5

For comparison, the Hornady 103 gr ELD-x gives me 2645 fps with groups of .53 and .88.

Results for my 12” Monster barrel

95gr LRX
Average 2172 fps with SD of 7.6
Groups size- 2, 2.5

80gr TTSX
Average 2439 with SD of 16.9
Group size- 1.73, 1.3, 1.9

For comparison, the Hornady 103 ELD-x gives me 2344 fps with groups about 1.3

I can accept some difference in velocity from what is advertised, but nearly 450 fps difference with each load?

I hope Barnes gets in the game soon.
