First ground squirrel session of the year!

Went 15/18 on them out to 350 yds. The 87vmax at 2,943 leaves no doubt when it hits. I am really loving this gun! My blind is a ‘65 cj5.

Nice setup , Have never shot ground squirrels but it looks to be fun.

They do a lot of damage so shooting them is a necessity. It is also a lot of fun when you get the longer shots.

I was telling a buddy the other day, I can have a bull elk come in to 5 yards and choose not to shoot it. But when I see a ground squirrel I start shaking and just want to shoot it.

I've shot several thousand Richardson Ground Squirrels this year. 22LR, 17HMR, 223/5.56 and 12 gauge. My 243 missed and I gave up after 4 shots. CZ457, TikkaT1X, Bergara BMR, WK180 Beretta 1301 ProComp and old 243 bolt gun. A 6mm ARC would be a great addition.

I definitely recommend trying the 87vmax over LVR. Great speed and accuracy.
