Lyman 51 load manual sneak peek. Finally received a peak at the Lyman load data for 6mm ARC. Truth be told Looks rather skimpy on data from my perspective. been out there for some ten months now or so.

Was a bit surprised to see the propellant LVR was absent in this data.

6mm ARC barrel is coming and now must to be make decision what dies buy.
I use many times Forster and  Redding Dies, but now is hard to find this caliper easy here.  
What experiences you are Hornady Match Grade or Wilson dies to this caliper. 
I must make ARC brass from  Lapua, Hornady  and starline Grendel brass.
What Hornady bushning sizes your use?

I am eagerly waiting for mine to arrive.  This will be my first 6mm ARC rifle

It has a 18" Proof Research 1:7.5 twist barrel and runs AICS magazines.  I have a MDT HNT26 carbon chassis to drop it into.  Have a few hundred factory Hornady 108gr loads to start with, lots of 6mm bullets to reload in the 58-112gr range

i have some 6.5 grendel brass ready for re-sizing once i finaly get my dies.

Does anyone have good advice for the small flash holes in the Lapua Brass,
I dont really just want to punch my decapping pin through the small hole, is there a small decapping pin for the Lee universal decapper?

I built my sons 6mm ARC on a lefty Stag upper, Odin 21 in rifle plus gas, reg carbine lower, he is 9 yrs old so I need length of pull short.  I keep seeing everyone getting .5 moa?  I shoot PRS type matches w bold guns and I have used an ar10 in 308 years ago when I started.  It took 250 rounds to get my 308 to consistently group under 1moa.  I am using Hornady match ammo, and My rifle is no where near .5.  I played with the gas system, as I am running a can on the barrel.  Still my best was 1 MOA..... Do I need a rifle buffer tube.....any suggestions?  I don't see this thing getting .5.....

Thank you for the add.  I just finished my sons 6mm ARC, gas gun.  Not overly happy with it yet.  But I need to break the barrel in, I guess.......

I grew weary of searching for 6mm ARC brass or 6.5 Grendel brass that I could convert and placed my Backorder for Starline Grendel Basic brass. I don't need 250 cases, but that's the only quantity available. 

I watched multiple forming videos and it seems to me that making 6mm ARC from right-sized brass blanks will be easier than converting formed brass. Time will tell. The key appears to be frequent annealing. My Burstfire Annealing and Case Prep Center will come in quite handy.

I'll update when (if?) my order ships.

   

My Grandson wants to go pig hunting, I am a bolt or single shot kind of guy BUT he seems to think I should use an AR style rifle. 
He gave me this to build a pig gun with. So 6mm ARC but other than that I'm lost haven't shot a 16 since forever, it will only be used for hunting so want to keep it inexpensive and once put together will never be changed.

Where do I go from here ? Only thing I know is I like longer barrels but don't know what a longer barrel is on an AR rifle.
