6.5G Brass In Stock at GRAFS |

...just checked GRAFS, they have Privi Partizan 6.5 Grendel brass available (showing in stock) in 50, 500 & 1000 quantities.
...no experience with their 6.5G brass, but have used their 223/556 & 308/762 brass before and was really no different reloading it from LC or other brass. How it would do for conversion, no idea but since its new brass the conversion process used for other 6.5G brass should be no different, especially if you anneal the brass before converting.
...BTW, it's also the lowest price per casing than any of the other offerings they carry, to include Starline.

Planning a P dog trip and want to utilize my ARC. 20 " Proof Reseach SS,Gibbz Upper. Viciuos Precision lock in modification to remove all upper/lower movement.
So far even with max loading we are generating enough to cycle the action, went to a lighter spring and got a mild improvement. We are running a Wilson BCG. Any suggestions before I start working up 87g loads [I have scads of 58's but 87's would require search and investment.
Thanks, Badger

What/which/who's dies? |

As parts are trickling in to put together my upper, I've been thinking about components and dies.
I figure since Hornady came up with it, I might just get their dies (?) or RCBS SB dies as a place to start. What's working for you, and what should be avoided?

RCBS seating plug issue |

I have the RCBS AR series dies. I've been loading 87gr Vmax bullets without any issues..
I picked up a few boxes of 103gr ELD-X bullets Saturday and started loading some Sunday. When I tried to seat the first bullet, it stuck in the seating plug. No matter how far I ran the plug down, it wouldn't stay in the case neck. I tried several cases and had the same issue.
So I removed the plug and hit it with some fine grit sandpaper. No help.. I ended up taking the plug out of my 243 die and trying it.. Worked great...
I've contacted RCBS about the issue and waiting on a reply. In the meantime, I'm going to mix up some JB Weld and fill the plug with it. Before setting up, I'm going to form it with a bullet and let it harden.
Anyone else ever experience this with a plug? In my 35years of reloading, I've never had this happen.

Started experimenting with these Sierra 100 GR TGK's this afternoon. shooting the 22" CZ527 again. Only loaded 7 rounds in .5 gr increments up to 30.5 grains of Power Pro 2000 MR. Looking to test for pressure & velocity. Velocity started at 2415 & peaked out at a mere 2666 & I am not expecting much more in terms of greater velocity / pressure potential.
With what little Power Pro 2000 I have shot so far, Im of the opinion this is a slow lot.
Good news is all 7 rounds from the 27.5 gr load to the 30.5 gr load printed near MOA with 5 rounds falling sub .5 MOA. with a 15 mile an hour tail wind and the bayonet on the barrel. Where does a guy go from here?
Last 2 rounds at 30.0 gr & 30.5 gr yielded 2666 & 2650 respectively. These Fed 205 primers look like we have room for more pressure yet, How much more pressure. Tempted try some Win Small rifle primers with the thinner cup to get a better feel for pressure. I have been seeing slightly pierced primers with those WSR's as max load is being approached.

Future 6mm ARC load Data, Gas & bolt gun |

What should we look forward to in terms of additional 6mm ARC load data? Suppose I am a little over anxious for Nosler & Sierra load data. More I think about this the more I doubt we will see anything more interns of Bolt gun load data for non Hornady bullets.
Additional Bolt gun load data is what I am honestly a bit thirsty for. Suppose I really should be quite happy with what is out there currently. Recently acquired some Sierra SKU: 4110 100 Grain TGK & the SKU: 1570 107 gr HPBT MATCHKING.
Aw we are currently looking at another cold snowy windy weekend & I am just a bit impatient for better shooting weather.
Won't be long & we will be looking at mosquito season.
