Anybody know of any body dies being made?  I pushed my shoulders back (Hornady 1x fired from factory ammo)  what should be .004" but I'm not getting the bolt to lockdown in my Cobalt/Proof setup and to pull the round back out with the charging handle takes a ton of effort.  I'm also looking at OAL to ogive set with the comparator.  When I push the bullet in super gentle I get one reading, but add a slight bit of pressure it pushes significantly deeper until it hits a solid stop like I am used to feeling.   

I do have also have a new CMMG upper that I plan to the loads that are giving grief in, but  to me it seems I need to push the shoulder back further.

I also do have some new Starline brass so I can start over, but I hate to knock the loaded ammo apart if I can avoid it.

Chambered in 6ARC and 22ARC, as well as the old favorites.

In case any of you are Forster users I am working with Forster on this:

FW: I have your co-ax press and the 2 die sets for 204, 22-250, 243, 260, and most recently 6mm ARC and 223.  What I am finding with the 6mm ARC is that the seater tube is leaving a very noticeable impression aka "ring around the collar" on the bullets.  I have seen others reference this on you tube so sounds like I am not the only one having this issue.  I'm wondering if you have a solution?  I may look to see if I can swap in the 243 stem and see how that goes.
 
Note:  I am loading conventional varmint bullets in the 65-87gr range and not the new style long and heavy.  I did push back a couple of factory loaded Hornady 105 black and it did not seem to imprint on the jacket.


To me this comes down to:  WTF were they thinking?  The bullets are the same (but different) but I would sure think that the old 243 stem would be better than that sharp drinking straw POS they are using.

Is this powder worth investing in an 8# if on sale?

Russia has been tossing around a 6mm military cartridge for decades and has apparently circled back to it, yet again. Kalashnikov announced on December 14, 2023, a 6.02 x 41 cartridge.

Yet another fat case, sleek bullet design concept pioneered by the 6.5 Grendel and further evolved by the 6mm ARC.

Anyway, you think Russian military will officially adopt Kalashnikov's new cartridge? Looks like it's a 6mm ARC-ski.

As some of you know I am learning to reload and trying to learn the signs of over pressure 
This is not a 6arc casing but I have more faith in guys on this forum than others
Is there any signs of over pressure in these pictures

FWIW, I ran the numbers on the 105gr Black box ammo out of my 12.5” Faxon barrel. At 2,328fps it stays super to 1,080yds.

To me that is impressive from a little gun.

Just getting into the 6ARC and long distance shooting. Here to learn and get to shooting. Was gifted a 6 ARC so all I have is a S&W Volunteer XV .       Pro DMR.

I built this today as a budget build and to tide me over until the Bartlien barrel is finished. I’ll take it out to 600 tomorrow am if I can get it on steel.
