When mounting a scope how much do you need , I have the next size up mounts coming but do I need to use them ?

I have about 1/32 on the scope to barrel and a 1/8 on bolt to scope. This rifle has the different bolt that has been modified for clearance

Good morning all. What does this community recommend for an out of the box 6 ARC rifle with 16-20" barrel? Also just considering an upper as I have a BCM lower. 

In other news, as of last week, Geissele says release of their GPR in 6mm ARC is postponed indefinitely from a planned date of summer 2022.

I went to my local 2000 yard range and was talking to one of the shooters there. We discussed the powder situation. I told him I was looking for some Retumbo. We reached an agreement 16# of my Varget for 16# of his Retumbo. I saw him the following week. Before the trade was made I told him I wanted to inspect the Retumbo. I opened both containers and both were a flat spherical powder. I told him that this is not Retumbo as Retumbo was a  medium cut grain powder. Long story short he tried to trade me surplus military powder for my genuine Varget. NO trade was made and he was screaming mad when I left. Know the powder in which you intend to buy.

Working on an AR build I 6 ARC. It’ll join a Grendel and a couple Creedmoor’s. Had a 6mm Creedmoor and liked the calibers so the ARC was of interest.

I'm looking at mounts for the top of my ar, looking to not spend more then $100. I'll be using a 3-15 stac by sightron, 30mm tube. There are a few I like but they seem a bit to light, say the aero it looks good and the upper and lower are aero but it looks to flimsy. Was looking at the Warne, not the super cheap one the 4 screw mount. There a bit more the $100 but maybe on sale it's closer to my budget.

I may have to think about high, I'll be using a magpul prs lite so maybe taller the 1.5" maybe better. I don't need 20moa for the ranges I'm shooting but doesn't hurt.

So what you all using?

Anyone try these bullets in 6mm or 6.5mm yet?

My first post here. Hunting and shooting  all my life. First in South Africa and now here in NZ. Was out of tge game for a few years but back in now. Nothing too serious but mostly fun. 
Just  got a 6mm ARC built on a Howa mini action. 22" Criterion barrel and 1:8 twist. Going to shoot it fir tge first time tomorrow. Only have factory ammo do will see how it going.
Will keep you posted and will ask tge experts on here for more info. Thanks for a great forum.

Well my 6mms arc barrel from shaw will be here on Tuesday, interested in how they shoot since I've never had a ar-15 barrel from them. Anyway I still have some parts to get to finish this build, I m thinking the magpul prs lite will match the gun and it has what I'd want in  stock. Some how I forgot they used a carbine buffer not the rifle tube and can work with the A5 tubes.

So what should I go with, even tho I am going to use a adjustable gas block id like some extra buffer weight. The A5 stuff is more money but if you figure the price for a H2/H3 buffer for the carbine it's not much more for the A5.

I'd have to look at the buffer weights and chose the heaviest within reason for the price. So what would you use the carbine or the A5 stuff.

Having ejector problem, bolt only partially locking back, locking on front of bolt carrier not the bolt.
Rifle +2 gas block (Superlative adj) set wide open 18 clicks out.
JP 6.5 Grendel bolt
JP SCS gen 2 buffer black spring
Extended bolt release
Craddock  Bartlien 6mm ARC 26” 7.25 twist
Using Hornady 105 black or 108 match

Emailed JP twice, no response

Any help will be appreciated. 

Works just fine with 223 Wilde upper.

Hey Folks,

    I don’t recall seeing any of this powder around yet since our betters over there in D.C. want supply shortages and non stop inflation to be the way we Build Back Better but I’m hoping someday I’ll have the privilege of finding some. Anyone work up a load with this yet? What velocities are you seeing and is it as temperature stable as they claim? Thanks for reading.
