Twist Rate |

Hi all. Based on your knowledge and experiences, is there a notable difference in precision between the 1:7.5" and 1:7" twist rates when shooting bullets of 100 or more grains?
As I understand it, 6 ARC was designed with a 1:7.5" twist, but I see at least Stag and Aero Precision twist rates are 1:7.

Resizing 220 Russian |

I found a website that has lapua 220 Russian in stock. Is it worth it to resize these cases or should I continue to just use former factory hornady brass? My accuracy is great as is, just wondering how involved the process itself is and if there are any downsides to 220 Russian.

6mm Bullets for Sale |

My brass is shot so I am taking a hiatus from the ARC for a number of reasons (including until components become more available), so I'm putting what bullets I have up for sale:
SOLD: 500 ct box of Berger 109 grain Long Range Hybrid Target bullets. Opened so I could make measurements. $285 shipped. No partials- someone will take them all.
425 ct of Barnes 105 grain Match Burner bullets from a 500 ct box.$145 shipped. I can split this but prefer to wait a bit to see if someone wants them all

Greetings all! I'm in the Midlands of SC. I heard about 6mm ARC from a Military Arms Channel video two weeks ago and was intrigued. I've read more about it and discovered this forum. Based on what I've read so far I'm considering converting from 5.56, especially for hunting deer and wild pigs. Looking forward to learning more.

CFE 223 |

I am looking at buying some more CFE 223. I see a lot of websites that sell 8# jugs from $200-250 but you can only pay by bitcoin, cash app, zelle, or venmo. From reading other peoples experience with these paying services you will NOT get any of your money back if SHTF with the seller. I have found a few sites that use the same pay services but also include paypal. I use paypal all the time but still I am a little worried with those websites. Where have you guys buy your CFE223 lately?

IMR 4895 and Heavies |

Since I don't see anyone posting about IMR 4895, even though the 6mm ARC Facebook page with QL data shows promise, I might as well post some findings. I went out to the range to test a few loads with IMR 4895 for velocity, pressure, and function. Velocities are two-shot strings.
Gun: AR-15
Barrel: 18" Proof Research SS
Bolt: JP HP bolt
Muzzle Device: GA Recce 7
Magazine: ASC 6mm ARC 15-rd
Bullet: 108gr Berger Elite Hunter
Lengths: 2.265" (1.650" 3-24 comparator)
Case: *-* 6.5 Grendel once-fired
Lengths: 1.480" (1.185" B350 comparator)
Primer: CCI 450
Velocity ES
25.5gr 2337 fps 5 fps
26.0gr 2398 fps 13 fps
26.5gr 2444 fps 8 fps
Since temp. stability of IMR 4895 is in question overall, I will play with that down the road.

6mm ARC and SEALs |

Like many of you, I'm skeptical of advertising claims, but I've got some cool news for the 6ARC Army.
Yes, Hornady, claimed that 6mmARC was developed at the request of a Department of Defense (DOD) entity. And, yes, we want to think that Hornady is not outright lying to the public for the sake of marketing their new cartridge.
So, like anything the corrupt Mainstream Media establishment says these days, I assume marketing claims are not really true until independently verified.
Turns out Hornady wasn't lying.
In a Military Arms Channel Youtube video, there is a short mention starting at 14:10 that the SEALs are, indeed, using 6mmARC. For video, click HERE.
