NEW Delta 6X UltraSlim Muzzle Brake
Posted by: BluntForceTrauma - 07-16-2023, 07:56 PM - Forum: Rexus Outfitters - No Replies

For the guy who wants recoil reduction in a sleek package at a great price: Our Delta 6X UltraSlim muzzle brake has a sleek, modern look and is slimmer than most 5/8-24 brakes, packing a ton of efficiency into a small space.

• Works with 5.56mm, of course, up to any caliber with a 6.X in the name — 6.0mm, 6.5mm, 6.8mm (perfect for 6mm ARC and 6.5 Grendel)
• Makes a 14.5" barrel — when pinned and welded per ATF specifications — a non-SBR (Short Barreled Rifle) of over 16" in length
• UltraSlim, low-profile diameter allows a .750" gas block to slide over for installation and removal convenience
• Four ports, optimally angled for recoil reduction yet with minimized blowback
• Black nitride finish for all-weather durability
• Fits 5/8-24 muzzle threads
• Length: 2.25"
• Weight: 2.1 oz.

Includes our UltraShims muzzle-device-timing, super-thin washer kit — a $4.95 value!

WARNING: Designed for maximum efficiency with 6.X cartridges and smaller: DO NOT USE WITH 7.0mm OR .30 CAL. CARTRIDGES OR LARGER

Find it at SixFiveOutfitters.

Properly setting up a reloading die
Posted by: CZ527 Guy - 07-14-2023, 07:18 PM - Forum: 6mmARC Ammunition and Reloading - No Replies

Randy is a voice of experience that seems to be on point more often than not. Many New reloaders & nearly as many experienced reloaders are sizing their cases more than optimal. See link below & see if this is you. Just hoping to help others extend there brass life. Do not wish to direct anyone to under size there cases just enough should be our goal.

  Impact of improved brass supply$$
Posted by: CZ527 Guy - 07-14-2023, 01:53 PM - Forum: 6mmARC Ammunition and Reloading - Replies (1)

What do you suppose the percentage of 6mm ARC shooters are, that are reloader? I have to think the swing of supply & demand for ammo & brass will rapidly impact these components, for a more favorable price point in the near future.

Many were stuck buying Hornady ammo for a source of brass. A notable amount of 6.5 Grendel brass was being purchased to convert to 6mm ARC. Thankfully those days are behind us.

Thank you! StarlineSmile

Look forward to seeing where HSM street price settles in for their new 6mm ARC offerings.

Future of the 6mm ARC is looking brighter in a big way from my perspective.

  Anyone used one of these
Posted by: Bassfish1952 - 07-12-2023, 04:35 PM - Forum: 6mmARC Bolt Actions - Replies (5)

I'm looking at having my mag cut down to 2 or 3 rounds so it is flat with the bottom of my rifle or getting one of these. Has anyone had experience with either one?

Thanks

Has anyone used this bullet ?   Checking my chamber I think I can load this but it says 1-7 twist and I have 1-7.5 twist would it work. I am thinking about buying the 15 pack just to play with.

I'm sitting around the house waiting for my heart to fix itself with nothing to do. My mind is going in all sorts of directions

Thanks

new question 6arc vs 6.5 Creedmoor
Posted by: Bassfish1952 - 07-09-2023, 02:18 PM - Forum: 6mmARC Ammunition and Reloading - Replies (6)

I have decided in for a penny in for a pound.

Since I am going to reload 6arc my other rifle is a 6.5CM..

For the 6arc I'm using Leverevolution powder , seems to do the job so far but is not listed for the 6.5CM
Is there any powder that you guys use that would work well in both ?

My plan is 120CX in the 6.5CM(I am using factory cx now)and the 90CX in the 6arc.

I know I will have to have large rifle primers for one and small for the other since I'm mainly hunting and fun shooting my goal would be as close to perfect as possible with 6arc and good enough for the 6.5. The 6.5 has a lot of extra energy so I don't have to be spot on for it.

With that what do you guys think is best powder to start with or should I get different and if so what are your recommendations ?
